The doctoral training in Veterinary Sciences (60 credits) includes the acquisition of thematic and transversal skills in connection with the thesis project, and a set of skills related to scientific production.
Thematic skills (15 credits)
The candidate chooses, with the agreement of the thesis committee, the doctoral training courses he/she wishes to follow within the doctoral training courses.
Interdisciplinary skills (15 credits)
Throughout the doctoral training, the doctoral student is invited to register for conferences and to make oral or poster presentations.
The various activities are subject to the approval of the Doctoral College, which gives itself the right to define the number of credits based on evidence of participation and the reference table.
Scientific production (30 credits)
The candidate is required to undertake, present and defend before a jury a personal work related to the PhD research project that will be valued by:
- Production of original experimental data and writing of a thesis respecting the typical guidelines of a scientific article.
- An oral presentation in public on the dissertation in the typical format of a communication at an international scientific congress.
- The public defense of the thesis according to the typical format of a communication at an international scientific congress.
The doctoral training certificate will be awarded after validation of the 60 credits required for the doctoral training.
